Dynamic Response of Outer Windshield Structure in Different Schemes under Aerodynamic Load

With the increase in high-speed train (HST) operation speed, light-weight design of body and component structure is pursued to reduce energy consumption during operation, but this seriously deteriorates aerodynamic performance outside under effect strong unsteady airflow, more obvious case frequently occurring problem vibration, large deformation, damage rubber exterior windshield at connection position HST carriages. We investigate fluid–structure coupling mechanism interaction between external force, compare dynamic characteristics different parameters. A numerical simulation three outer parameters (sidewall distance U-shaped capsule, sidewall thickness, inclination angle) carried out using FSI two-way method. The load, airflow dynamics around windshield, nonlinear vibration deformation form analyzed detail. results show that response by method good agreement with full-scale test results. Additionally, stiffness can be improved increasing thickness sidewall. When increased, an insufficient top arc causes a local windshield. established relevant research provide support for stability evaluation windshields.
